FAQ

  • Are your ceramics microwave and dishwasher safe?
Yes! However, if you have hard water you may notice build up on the unglazed surface. Also, I do not recommend using a citric acid in your dishwasher with our goods.
  • Are your ceramics oven safe?
    Negative. Don't do it.
  • Do Matchstrikers work with any matches?
No. In order to light a match on the Matchstrikers, you need to purchase Strike Anywhere matches. They can be a little harder to find, but Smart & Final, hardware stores like Ace, and they can be found on Amazon of course. The matches come in 2 sizes: small and large. I recommend the large, although I make the strikers to accommodate both sizes. If you purchase Safety Matches or Strike on Box matches, they will not light on the strikers.
  • Do you take commissions?
Yes, but it depends on the project and the timing. If you ask me to make a sponge holder you saw by a different potter, I will ask you to purchase it from them. I do not wish too recreate other people's work. Design and functionality are important pillars of my work, and it is an agonizing process from ideation to the finished work on the shelf. So, I do not undertake commissions lightly. However, if you like my style and give a certain amount of creative freedom, I can usually come up with a great product that makes us all happy.
  • Do you teach classes?
I do! I book private workshops in handbuilding for groups up to 10 and wheel throwing for up to 2 people. These are made by appointment only. Look over some examples on our Services Page and request a booking for your group.
